and so trapped was i my whole world caved in

These are some of many snaps I took through the car window in our journey to and fro Terengganu. Just staring and admiring the beautiful clouds all the way takes my mind off things and reminds me of who's looking down and in charge ultimately. For many reasons, I've been feeling pretty sappy lately. So going away to someplace with all sea/clouds/trees/rocks has been really good. I was almost depressed coming back home. It didn't help that we were stucked in a traffic jam all the way back.

Nature has always had a way of reminding me of what really matters when I'm drowned in my own self. I have many other pictures I took of green coconut trees swaying with the wind, high blue waves crashing against the soft soft sand on the shore, beautiful rocks at Chendering. But I'll save that for another day.

Love was God, only He would try
To reach and love one such as I.

ourself, behind ourself

One need not be a chamber to be haunted,
One need not be a house;
The brain has corridors surpassing
Material place.

happy meal

Indomie + bright pink/yellow drinks right after the nerve-rackingly tough P3 test. Happy smiley faces and long funny conversations in a restaurant that electricity keeps tripping. It was a happy meal (dinner)! Literally.

One more day of classes and it's holidays! No early classes/traffic jams/processes to remember for a WHOLE WEEK! Instead, taking its place are cookies/sleep/angpows/beach! Yay! :)

Have a happy safe Chinese New Year!

girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes

Kate Lynn, with a sweet big smile on her face said to me, 'I have a card for you upstairs!' when she greeted me at the main door below the condo. When it was cake time and after they sang 'Happy Birthday', she sang 'May the Good Lord bless you' all by herself to me. I had an amazing birthday celebrated with many different meals with dear family and friends this year. But this precious little girl's handmade card and birthday song is by a mile my favourite gift this year.

When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad, I simply remember my favourite things, and then I don't feel so bad :)

cheezburger

This is such a good picture I had to put it up (courtesy of Amy Loke and her awesome new lens). Even at the expense of exposing how my spelling/grammar/english has deteriorated since the last time I took an English subject in Year 1. That's such a good excuse. I mean how long ago was Year 1??

So, spot how I spell warantee I mean, warranty above. Since when was warantee spelled as warranty? And that's just one of many (and I mean MANY) spelling errors I've made since school started 3 weeks ago. I really hope I don't fail exams because I can't spell.

And just one last incident to amuse you- my P1 lecturer doesn't usually like pronouncing the sound of S in his words when he speaks. Which means we have to figure out ourselves where to put/whether we need to include the wonderful letter S when he dictates. And that's quite a task for a grammatically unsound person like me. Anyways, I was telling my friend something in between classes the other day, "I like how they alway...". SERIOUSLY. ALWAY????? Needless to say, I shocked myself so bad I forgot what it was I wanted to say.

I really hope this is just a phase. Cause there's more than English to worry about. Like the first PT next week. It it doesn't pass, maybe I should write my own dictionary. C'mon, 'cheezburger' looks so much more appealing!

so close to reaching that famous happy end

Half of January's gone? Where did all the time go? Which reminds me, you know how they say, 'Once upon a time we looked forward to our birthday, now we wished that it creeps up as slowly as possible'? Yes, that's a big hint too. Hahah ;). Anyway, I owe this page an update and because the header reads 'randomness at its best', here's a very random picture-update!

the pictures date back to the last few months of December '09 (:

Tutorial 6. This was phototaking day. This one's the oldest- June/July '09.

Yes, I've graduated! That's our tutorial class in the last week at UTAR!

That's our VIVA- thesis research presentation supervisor. We spent a lot of time in the 10 months just trying to contact/waiting to see her.

Thesis group after VIVA = relief + joy + no more simulation

The awesome 6 ppl assignment group I worked with most of the time in the 3 years.

Pretty sunset on top of Broga Hill.

Dorcas came back! Very briefly before she had to fly back again but we made the most out of it. :)

Remember my initial proposal for thesis that got rejected so so many times? That's the queue to the lecturer's room to finalise/approve our FINAL THESIS. You can't see it from the picture but the line goes on into the lighted area and further down somemore to the right side after that. We literally had to come early to queue before the lecturer even came to work. Like a bank except you can't take a number and sit and wait. Thank God that whole research/thesis/journals phase is over.

What kept us awake throughout the night.

ACCA classes so far are pretty interesting. I sometimes wished uni was nearby so I can still wake up late and leave 15 minutes before class starts and still make it in time. But really, I should be contented. There are worse things in life than traffic jams right?

January's been good. I can't wait for Chinese New Year!
