here there everywhere

So we were all very semangat and started on our ITM assignment and presentation on the first day of the new semester, and planned other very unrelated things in between discussions..

The past week has gone by so quickly! So quick that i'm pretty speechless..hehe so i'm posting up random pictures here and there during the week. Everybody loves pictures!;)

A sneak peak into our assignment..

No, our presentation is not about simpsons or any other yellow fellas, we're doing something much more interesting-biometrics!

Thank you Mr Driver!=D

I do not need to explain the grin on his face-another thing you will not get in Australia Jon

Ok now, open your eyes bigger and look at the pictures below closely..

I'm currently craving this (nuts AND chocolate=a very happy me), and my mom only bought a box back, so if you happen to see it in some supermarket i don't go to, or anywhere else, please please get some back for me ok=) thanks in advance!

you make me smile

As I'm writing this, I'm bubbling with excitement and joy!hehe my 3 weeks holiday is coming to an end (not just yet), and this is probably the only holiday I've had that didn't involve a single moment of boredom. I was well kept occupied, and since my dear friends (you get to meet them later on) want a long blogpost out of me, i shall let my creative juices flow and give you highlights here and there!

The morning of the first day after the last paper, my mom decided to fly off to australia that evening itself. That left me with the duty of driving my sisters around and my part of the house chores, which brought about 2 revelations, sweeping was not meant for me and my sister is an underdog iron-er.

In the first 2 weeks also, i had a wonderful friend who bought us baskin robbins after dinner after getting her paycheck earlier (I have the most amazing friends=)), hung out at a new found mamak which name creepily bore resemblance to a particular penyelia petang in school last time. These are the friends that make me laugh till my stomach hurts everytime we meet. Like, a friend of my friend was punished to wear a tudung for not putting her hair in a bun while doing practical at HKL (cue to laugh). And it's nice to have an insider view of what goes on behind the scenes in the media world- I would never survive there, and that's why I'm really proud of how my friend handles everything being the only girl in her team! (though i think they recently recruited another girl, but still) I'm missing you girls already.

The last 2 days were spent with 2 of my 'eating buddies'. I will not go into details, but let's just say, we can really eat=) There were many 'moments' but I'll just fast forward to my favourites. On the first day, we went into an esprit place and within seconds of walking in, I look over to Amelia whose hands are now filled with clothes and she was so excited going "ohmygosh, I already have 5 pieces to try and I'm only at the first rack!" I really couldn't stop laughing. I love you Amelia..hehe (btw, she ended up not getting anything from there)

After pigging out (and i mean really pigging out) on the first day, we decided to be ladies again and share one large meal for lunch the next day. Needless to say, our stomachs were more willful than our intentions. We had a set each.

We needed pictures as we were on a 'mission', and since we didn't want to get somebody to take back-to-back pictures of us, we settled the camera on Fong's shoe box and snapped away. When we reach the royal family portrait, we were happily posing when 2 men walk passed and found us amusing and decided to take one shoebox-free picture for us, yaY!

Oh, I also went to the clinique counter to redeem some stuff, and i really thought all 'redeem' involves was giving her the redeem card, getting my stuff and go. But no, the lady had to sit me down, and the asking-questions-part was fine until she asked "Does your skin get burned easily under the sun?" Apparently my "No" answer wasn't satisfactory, and she kept asking the same question over and over again, more persistently each time, and only stopped after i said no for about the 100th time (Fong joined in). When she left for a brief moment, i could not stop laughing. I know it's rude to laugh at people, but seriously.

There's really no need for me to tell you everything, it's already written down from 2 different perspectives, go to Fong's and Amelia's and enjoy our pretty pictures all over again=D (or just go to fb)

Amelia and her best friend, the mirror

We really took too little pictures of food in the big scale of everything we ate in 2 days

come on, everybody plays with their food

puddles everywhere=a picure-perfect sight of 3 girls jumping around

Fong at the wheels ready to make a turn at a not-too-spacious-parking-area while smiling for the camera. She's superwoman.

What we've become in just 2 days

On a completely different matter, I not only passed all my papers (I do not deserve this, considering how I studied co. tax only the night before), I'm still holding on to my scholarship. And don't get me wrong, I am in no way suggesting I'm a genius, in fact I'm far from that. I'm kind of stressed right now to do better in the coming semester. The last few months have been a rollercoaster in every sense, and definitely the toughest sem so far. But that is why I am extremely grateful to Him for being so faithful to me even when i am not. It was definitely not my efforts that deserve those results, and not my answers that deserve those grades. Thank You Lord for your grace to me=)

I'm liking this whole colourful-highlighted post style (after Fong and Amelia also highlighted theirs..hehe), dont you?

oxymoron ahead!

Besides the big malls, here's another thing i recently realised i like about kl... traffic! Traffic is fun, and colourful. Okay maybe only those on cute little things;) *revive those who fainted*

I know this is short, and pointless, but it's for all of you who wants an update anyway!hehe i know you like it XX

my favourite part of the story

I know i know, everybody's getting sick of david masak, me too- especially after i heard about a certain girlfriend. Anyways, i know it's a bit late, but Passion KL was amazing! Praising, singing, shouting, clapping, 'dancing'(hehe) for our Creator only feels great because that's what we were created for. All i have to say is, i can't wait for eternity when all we do is give worship and praise to our awesome awesome God! AND with all of those guys above=)

On another note, it's that week again when we reluctantly join the looong BAC line to get our exam slips, scramble to find for last minute tutorial answers and persuade lecturers for more 'guidelines'=) It's a bittersweet thing, a part of me is happy that's all the audit there is to learn, another part can't imagine more tax rates. And of course, there's the famous 'freezing finals'. But hand on heart(another thing i learn in Performance Management), i actually like learning what i learn- minus being graded. I know, who doesn't.

Another random thing- over lunch some time back, some of the girls were commenting on how science stream students ask more WHYs when doing accounts(in their words, why bad debts this? why credit that?). I was like why not? That kind of gave away the fact that i was in the why group. I do remember asking and searching for days in my first week of doing accounts- why is sales a credit? Anyways that's not the point i'm trying to get to. People ask why all the time, i do alot. Everyday, in every circumstance, i feel the need to know why. It's as if i could do something if i did know why. It is frustrating when our finite minds try to understand our infinite God. He's infinite, that should say something so big it can make us stop in our tracks. I don't understand infinity, and it overwhelms me that a God this great will handle all the whys for me.

At the end of the day when i put everything in a temporary storage box at the corner of my mind, and stop and think of how good my amazing God is to me, i'm thankful he knows better than i=)

Words to one of my favourite songs!

I thought I did what's right
I thought I had the answers
I thought I chose the surest road
But that road brought me here
So I put up a fight
And told you how to help me
Now just when I have given up
The truth is coming clear
You know better than I
You know the way
I've let go the need to know why
For you know better than I
If this has been a test
I cannot see the reason
But maybe knowing I don't know
Is part of getting through
I try to do what's best
And faith has made it easy
To see the best thing I can do
Is put my trust in you
For You know better than I
You know the way
I've let go the need to know why
For you know better than I
I saw one cloud and thought it was a sky
I saw a bird and thought that I could follow
But it was you who taught that bird to fly
If I let you reach me will you teach me
For You know better than I
You know the way
I've let go the need to know why
I'll take what answers you supply
You know better than I
~Better than i

That said, i still want to know why when it comes to my debit and credit.

david masak

need I say more?

Yes, I think david cook is hot. The whole AC thing is sweet. And that cocky-in-the-beginning-taking-simon's-criticism-at-the-end vibe surrounding him makes him all the more humanly irresistable. And that voice and versatility and that face... Sigh... I've not had a crush like this since justin timberlake (do NOT laugh..and no, I do not always have unrealistic crushes-then again, unrealistic is too harsh). He is definitely my favourite american idol so far, besides carrie underwood (no, i don't have a crush on her).

Oh, and just in case i don't become mrs masak, my son will have to keep facial hair and sing rock songs in the future=)

i wish you Jesus

Growing up, memorizing many different memory verses every week was more for that extra sticker beside my name on the memory verse list or to earn an additional point for the next carnival (btw i love those carnivals, although the little fishes i redeemed always died before i reached home). But for as long as i've been memorizing them, one verse stands out among the others. Maybe it's because i've been unconsiously glancing at the framed verse above the piano for years, or maybe it's the colourful-bookmark version of the verse from a dear friend that i come across everytime i flip through the pages of my bible.

Whatever it is, i'm glad it's stuck in my head. Growing older, coming across many different new things along the way, i've found comfort in different ways every different time i'm reminded of this verse. In fact i'm really thankful for all those years memorizing was compulsory=)

Surroundings can change, people can change, oil prices can change (and make everything else change), i can change, but Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever- Hebrews 13:8.

starbucks and rain

All this started in a few hours in starbucks set aside for assignments. Yup i'm supposed(or rather we're supposed) to start on our long-delayed audit and law assignments, but this is the baby of that precious time!=) Of course with the 'guidance' and 'push' of somebody who've caught the blogging bug, ok actually she wants to talk more about FOOD, not that i'm complaining..hehe. So have to promote abit la, since she's the one who started this- for more information go to epicure101 If you're in some place foreign, or just want a new place to dine, call her!(i'll give u her phone number) K enough of publicity..

Ok i'll probably not update alot, considering the little amount of time i spent in front of the comp. So don't expect much WF(she thinks WF looks vulgar- it's the hot chocolate she's having..really) So everytime i do update, it'll be interesting, i promise..ok i don't promise

I think it's quite clear now why this is random in so many ways.. Btw did the guys in Made of Honor pay royalty to say that Tom created the coffee collar?

Ok better start assignment now.
